Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

My Coffee Shelf is operated by Nisshagen Advisory AB (Org.nr 559526-6742), a company registered in Stockholm, Sweden. References to “we”, “us”, or “our” in these terms refer to Nisshagen Advisory AB.

2. Your Account

You can use the app without registering, in which case an anonymous account is created so your shelf can be stored and synced. To use the app across devices or to recover your data, you must create an account using a valid email address or a supported sign-in provider. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country of residence, if that is higher) to create an account or to join the launch list.

3. What You Can Do

My Coffee Shelf gives you tools to catalogue the coffee you own, track its freshness from the roast date, record the brewing gear you use, log brews, and see estimates of your caffeine intake. You may use the app and the website for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms.

4. Launch List

If you submit your email address on this website, we will use it to send you a notification when My Coffee Shelf is released, and for nothing else. You can ask us to remove your address at any time by emailing hello@mycoffeeshelf.com. Joining the list does not entitle you to access, early or otherwise, and does not oblige us to release the app on any particular date, or at all.

5. User-Submitted Content

If you submit coffee, roaster, or equipment information to the shared My Coffee Shelf catalogue, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the app. You retain ownership of content you create. Your own shelf, brew logs and notes stay private to your account unless you explicitly choose to share them.

By submitting content, you confirm that:

• You have the right to share it
• It does not infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• It is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• It does not contain harmful, offensive, or unlawful material

We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content that violates these terms.

6. What You Cannot Do

You agree not to:

• Use the app or the website for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or extract the app’s source code
• Submit false, misleading, or spam content, including addresses that are not yours
• Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the app, the catalogue, or the website

7. Purchases and Subscriptions

Some features of My Coffee Shelf may require a purchase or a subscription. Where they do, all purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, depending on your platform, and pricing is displayed clearly before any purchase is made. Subscriptions renew according to the terms shown at the point of purchase and can be managed or cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple’s or Google’s refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.

8. Intellectual Property

My Coffee Shelf, including its design, code, catalogue and branding, is owned by Nisshagen Advisory AB. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

9. Disclaimers

My Coffee Shelf is provided “as is”. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of coffee or roaster information, roast dates, equipment parameters, brewing guidance, or caffeine estimates. Caffeine figures are approximations derived from your dose and brew method; they are not a medical measurement and must not be relied on for medical or dietary decisions. If caffeine intake matters to your health, speak to a qualified professional.

10. Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, and we may update the app as required by Apple, Google, or our own development. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Swedish law, Nisshagen Advisory AB is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of My Coffee Shelf. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you within the app and ask you to review and accept the updated terms before continuing to use My Coffee Shelf. The version number and effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Any disputes will be resolved in Swedish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence.
