My Coffee Shelf

Nisshagen Advisory AB · Stockholm

Coming soon · iOS and Android

Brew every bag at its peak.

My Coffee Shelf is a shelf for your coffee. Scan a bag to add it, watch its freshness window count down from the roast date, and log brews against the grinder and brewer you actually own, so you drink beans while they are still good, and know what you are really consuming.

The app is built and in final testing. It is not on the App Store or Google Play yet. Leave your email and we will tell you the day it is.

What it does
01

Scan the bag, not a form

Point the camera at the barcode, or at the label if there is no barcode, and the app reads what it can (roaster, origin, process, roast date) and fills the fields in for you to check before the bag lands on your shelf. Anything it misses you can type in yourself.

02

Freshness counted from the roast date

Every bag tracks its own window: still degassing, at its peak, or past it. The shelf tells you which bag to open next and which one to finish this week, instead of you finding out at the first sip.

03

Brews logged against your actual kit

Add the grinders and brewers you own, then log a brew with dose, grind setting, ratio and time. Suggestions are phrased in terms of your own gear and your own past brews rather than generic advice written for someone else’s setup.

04

Caffeine you can actually see

Each logged brew estimates its caffeine from the dose and the method, so your daily and weekly intake is tracked as an estimate rather than left to memory. It is an approximation, not a medical measurement, but useful if you have ever wondered why the fourth cup stopped working.

Your kit

The cone counts every brew. You don’t have to.

Add the brewers and grinders you actually own and each one keeps its own count. The app tells you when the V60 is due a proper wash, when the burrs want brushing out and when the kettle needs descaling, before any of it starts turning up in the cup.

Stale coffee oils in the cone and the basket are the most common reason a good bag suddenly tastes flat. It is almost never the beans.

We are a small Stockholm studio building the “my X shelf” family. My Bar Shelf is already out; coffee is next.
