Caffeine is a reference value for this drink and brew method, not a measurement of your cup.

Flat White technique

  1. Pull a double ristretto or espresso (36g) into a 5-6oz cup.
  2. Steam 100-120ml of milk to a thin, glossy microfoam.
  3. Pour close to the surface for a thin foam layer and clean art.
  4. Target a 1:3 to 1:4 ratio, coffee-forward.

The flat white lives between a cortado and a latte: less milk than a latte, finer foam than a cappuccino, the espresso meant to dominate.
