Flat bottom, three small holes, and a fluted paper that keeps the filter off the wall. The bed sits level and extracts evenly whether or not your pour is any good.

What goes wrong
- Not rinsing and seating the wave paper (it folds in and channels, uneven), grinding V60-fine (stalls on three small holes, bitter), letting the bed drain dry between pours (fines choke the holes, over-extraction)
