Melitta Pour-Over Cone
The wedge-shaped dripper that put filter coffee in European kitchens. It predates "third wave" by a century. One small hole, slow drainage, cheap as anything. Better than its reputation.

What goes wrong
- A V60 grind stalls it, and the cup comes out over-extracted and bitter. Fussing over pour patterns is wasted effort, because the bed pools regardless. Filling above the paper line sends water down the wall, past the coffee, and the cup comes out weak.
