V60

A pour-over method using a conical filter and a careful, controlled pour. Highlights bright, clean notes - the showcase of a light roast.

Caffeine is a reference value for this drink and brew method, not a measurement of your cup.

V60 technique

  1. Use 22g of coffee at a medium-fine grind, in a paper-filtered V60.
  2. Bring 360g of water to 93–95°C.
  3. Bloom with 50g of water for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in slow circles to 200g by 1:00.
  5. Finish pouring to 360g by 1:30.
  6. Total brew should land at 2:30 to 3:00.

Light roasts shine on the V60 - the cone shape and paper filter together make a clean, articulate cup. Slow your pour if it draws down too fast.
